By Water
From the Richmond / San Rafael Bridge:
- Pass under the bridge & leave Red Rock to starboard & the Chevron Long Wharf to port
- Leave green markers 3 & 5 to port. Leave marker 6 to starboard as you enter the Potrero Reach

From the Bay Bridge:
Pass under the Bridge & leave the Berkeley Pier to starboard. Continue North about 1 mile past Southhampton Shoals. Turn east and leave red marker 6 to starboard as you enter the Potrero Reach. See “From the Entrance of the Potrero Reach” below.
From the Golden Gate Bridge:
Pass under the Bridge & leave Angel Island to starboard as you head up through Racoon Straits. Continue heading North-east toward the Richmond Shoreline. You should be heading directly for Red marker 6. Leave this mark to Starboard as you enter the Potrero Reach. See “From the Entrance of the Potrero Reach” below.
From the Entrance of the Potrero Reach:
Follow the Potrero Reach East leaving Richmond Yacht Club and a large ship drydock to port. As you proceed, the waterway splits -keep to port, instead of going straight. You are now in the Harbor Channel. Keep to port and it becomes the Santa Fe Channel. Svendsen's Bay Marine is located just past the covered berths & fuel dock at Channel Marina. You may dock in any open space, except for the haulout slip.
